Welcome to the Swansea University Computer Society mirror. There is a
small collection of useful open source and freely downloadable software
within these directories for Windows, Linux.

If you are a SUCS member, you can _only_ copy files to/from your home
directory by using SFTP/scp and not regular FTP. FTP for user's home
directories is not enabled due to FTP's lack of security. On Windows, a
tool which can do SFTP is WinSCP (see below for details about how to get
it).

If you are currently using Internet Explorer for FTP, we recommend
installing WinSCP (available from http://winscp.net/eng/download.php ).
Tests suggest Internet Explorer is often unreliable when downloading
large files from this FTP site and does not support resumption if a
download stalls mid-way.
